Frequently Asked Questions

1.) WHAT IS MUSCLE THERAPY?

Muscle therapy is the integration of various hands-on techniques designed to manipulate and retrain the muscles to work together to support our body structure during our everyday activities. Over the years we have developed muscle imbalances that have compromised our posture, resulting in pain. Muscle therapy requires a level of discipline, that with specific guidance, training, and treatment, can yield extraordinary results.

2.) WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST TREATMENT?

Please allow up to an hour for your first appointment. This gives us time to thoroughly discuss your treatment goals, assess your current condition, and create a plan of action.

3.) WILL I NEED TO COME TO MTC MORE THAN ONCE?

In some cases, yes. Your treatment schedule will depend on how responsive your body is. Some people respond immediately, others take time. Together, we will decide upon a realistic treatment plan.

4.) HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER TREATMENT?

You may feel sore immediately after treatment, or it may take a few days. Or you may never feel sore. Everyone’s body reacts differently. Water intake is crucial immediately after treatment to prevent recently released toxins from building up, causing nausea.

5.) HOW LONG WILL A TREATMENT LAST?

Depending on your situation, a treatment can last up to an hour.

6.) HOW IMMEDIATE IS RELIEF?

Immediate relief is certainly possible. You may in fact notice a marked difference as soon as you get off the table. Or, you may begin to notice improvement after several days.

7.) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
